Robustel routers are much more flexible because users can add device functionality.
For example, if you want to configure your router as a basic Cloud gateway, you can install a couple of Apps to give it that functionality, like Modbus RTU/TCP connections and MQTT or Azure cloud connectors.
Steps to install apps (RCMS):
1 | Log into your RCMS cloud account |
2 | Under Robustlink, select "View All Devices" |
3 | Click the serial number of the device you need to install the app onto |
4 | Click the "Apps" tab. |
5 | Select the App under "App Name" and "Version" |
6 | Click "Update" to update the app on your router over the air |
Steps to install apps (Manual/Directly on Router)
1 | Log into your RCMS cloud account |
2 | Go to App Centre |
3 | Click on "E2C APP" for Edge to cloud apps (You can also find firmware and other apps in different tab sections) |
4 | Select the correct app under "Name" |
5 | Select your router under "Series" |
6 | Click on the available option |
7 | Click "Download" to download the app. |
8 | Log into your router locally (Connected via a LAN cable) |
9 | Go to "System" --> "App Centre" |
10 | Click "Browse" and select the App you downloaded and click install |
